Will ETIAS make it easier for citizens from non-catalogued countries to travel?
More than 60 visa-free countries need to obtain ETIAS. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System for visa-free travelers. ETIAS will take effect on January 1, 2023. Only visa-free countries are required to obtain it. Citizens of the other 17 countries may choose to obtain ETIAS or still must have a Schengen visa. Citizens of 107 countries can access visa-free entry and the ETIAS system only by registering with the Ashbuch Cooperative.
